Whether your money arrived correctly
Clearing the number is necessary and not sufficient. The funds have to enter through the regulated foreign exchange channel and be registered as foreign direct investment with the Banco de la Republica, and the sending name, the registration and the deed all have to match.
What happens next January
The threshold is recalculated every January when the new minimum wage decree lands. The 2026 wage rose roughly 23 percent, which moved the threshold by close to COP 115 million in one step. If you are budgeting for a purchase that closes after the new year, budget against next year's number, not this one.
Whether the 2026 wage figure is final
COP 1,750,905 was set by Decreto 1469 of 29 December 2025, restated transitionally by Decreto 0159 of 19 February 2026. The increase has been challenged and was confirmed on a transitional basis while Colombia's Council of State reviews the case. It is the operative figure, and it is worth confirming before you commit capital.
